A mother and daughter business, making and selling local, authentic, healthy, delicious kimchi. My mom, Gailee Han, has been making kimchi since she moved to the US in '92. To delight the palates of locavores and share our culture and passion with our community, we sold Humboldt Kimchi at local farmers markets and in local retail groceries. In our second year, we added bulgogi bowls to our menu, which sold out nearly every market.
We partnered with local farmers to source organic produce. Restaurants and cafes featured our kimchi in their menus, introducing unique pairings like kimchi fried rice with grassfed steak and a glass of pigeolet or chopping kimchi into schmear for bagels.
