values-based visual identity & storytelling • accessible web design • function meets form • impactful data visualization • content-informed presentation design
Leveraging the visual identity I created, I designed and developed a website using Adobe CS, Webflow, and WordPress to further establish the digital presence of The Wallace Center as an emerging player in the field of public health, technology, and innovation.
home pageIn 2021, I synthesized data from grant reports and project materials and designed a vibrant, branded deck for Reimagine Lab, a HCD accelerator that develops innovative domestic violence prevention programming for underserved populations for their funders at the Blue Shield of California Foundation.
In addition to my role as student researcher, I drafted and designed policy briefs and research reports for a wide range of projects, such as a study examining the impact of the pandemic on sexual activity of young adults in California and research examining the perinatal care experiences of adolescent mothers in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Reckless or at-risk?As a media studies researcher, I conducted ethnographic content analyses and media advocacy research for a range of public health issues, including violence prevention, targeted marketing of junk foods, and immigration. To understand the narrative of each of these issues and learn how public health advocates can leverage effective messaging, I monitored news coverage and social media trends. In addition to this role, I was also BMSG's Communication Design Officer, developing style guides and creating unique and impactful data visualizations, presentations, and reports.
